How To Grow Your Hair Longer and Faster
A lot of people ask me how to grow their hair longer and faster. Well I thought I would share some tips on the topic.
Drink lots of water: Drinking lots of water not only quenches your thirst but it allows your body to feel better by flushing out toxins faster. Drinking water keeps your hair hydrated from the inside out, keeping it strong and less susceptible to breakage. If your hair is stronger it is inevitable that it will grow faster. Try to drink 8 cups of water a day.
Brush your hair with care: If I were to ask you the direction in which you comb your hair would you answer from the top down or the bottom up. Most people would say from the top down, however the best way to comb your hair is to start at the ends of the hair and work your way up to the scalp. By doing this you will avoid breaking the hair at the root and accidently creating fly aways and breakage. When combing the hair, make sure to use a wide-tooth comb and never use a brush on wet hair. Brushing your hair is also essential in stimulating circulation in the scalp, which feeds the hair follicles and promotes hair growth.
Massage Your Scalp: Piggy backing on the previous tip, brushing your hair and massaging your scalp will stimulate the nerves and blood vessels beneath the skin while calming muscle tension. Not only is it a great stress reliever but it can stimulate hair growth.
Protein Rich Diet: A healthy diet is essential in order to grow your hair faster. Protein-rich foods will make a huge difference in the quality of your hair, as well as speeding up the rate at which it grows. Try incorporating more fruits and vegetables, eggs, fish, and flax seed into your diet and take note of the difference!
Vitamins: Vitamins such as Vitamin B, A, and C are crucial for hair growth and keeping your hair strong and healthy. Taking vitamin supplements or eating more vitamin rich food will definitely help your hair grow faster. Rinsing your hair with potato water or a vitamin treatment can also help your hair get its dose of vitamins.
Essential Oils: Essential oils can enhance hair growth. Try combining three drops of rosemary oil, three drops of lavender oil, and two drops of the following: thyme oil, cedarwood oil, and jojoba oil. Rub onto your scalp and hair.
Trim your hair every 6 to 7 weeks: Getting your hair cut when you are trying to grow it out may seem counter intuitive, however cutting your hair keeps it from breaking and splitting. Trimming your hair does not make your hair grow faster but if you don’t partake in regular trimming and ridding yourself of split ends the results will be breakage and weak hair. Cut a quarter of an inch of your hair every 6 to 7 weeks. Remember, you want not only long hair but healthy hair.
